Full details of the Galaxy Note 9 will be announced at Samsung Unpacked 2018 on August 9 in NY, and it's likely to be in stores around August 24. Interestingly, this is a similar description of the Galaxy X, which would join Samsung's established big-name phone releases of the year. It might have found it in Fortnite.
Why? Because making the first foldable phone makes you king of that concept - just look at the iPad and the Galaxy Note. Epic has said that it'll be launching sometime this summer, and today we're learning that its release could coincide with the launch of the Galaxy Note 9. If you don't want the V-Bucks since you don't play Fortnite, there will reportedly be an option for wireless AKG headphones that will be worth as much as the V-Bucks provided if you play Fortnite.
The game will apparently also work with the Galaxy Note's S-Pen, presumably to help with pin-point aiming.
Taking a loss in order to be first is a gutsy move, though Huawei is clearly confident that it will pay dividends in the long run, as it (NOT Samsung) would be first to market with a high-end, foldable smartphone.
Samsung is expected to optimise the device, especially for the game, enabling the best performance Android has to offer. Further reports also suggest that we'll be able to use Samsung DeX with Fortnite Mobile on the Note 9. We already know a lot about the device thanks to multiple leaks.
As previously reported, the Note 9 is tipped to closely resemble the former Note 8, with the exception of a more accessible fingerprint reader. After that, we may see Fortnite on all sorts of Android devices. For selfies, the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to get an 8MP front-facing shooter.
