Pop sensation Demi Lovato is "awake" after a reported drug overdose on Tuesday afternoon, the singer's representative told E!News on Tuesday evening. "People think it's a breakup song", she said, "but it's actually kind of a breakup song with myself and my bad habits". In June, she released a song called "Sober" about a relapse after six years of sobriety.
Lovato's tour was scheduled to continue on Thursday, with a performance in Atlantic City, New Jersey, before heading to Mexico in September for a string of worldwide dates that would continue through the end of November. She shared the news in a single titled "Sober".
She was scheduled to perform in Atlantic City on Thursday, however it is believed that has been cancelled. She had been 6 years sober from alcohol, cocaine and Oxycontin. "I want to be a role model but I'm only human".
Los Angeles police were also dispatched, but Officer Carlos Zaragoza said he could not release the woman's identity or condition.
On Sunday, Lovato performed at the California Mid-State Fair with Iggy Azalea.
