The Air India aircraft was rocked by turbulence shortly after take-off because the aircraft reached 15,000ft after which lasted almost half of its journey.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has initiated a probe into the incident. The blast shattered a window, killing a passenger, in the first USA passenger airline fatality since 2009. The video shows the inner layer of a passenger window having come loose while two overhead oxygen masks appear to have fallen when the Dreamliner hit turbulence.
Videos of an air hostess trying to fix the fallen window back, and comforting the passenger who got hit by it, has been going viral.
The incident occurred just one day after a woman was killed when she was partially sucked out of a broken plane window after the engine blew out. According to government officials, the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management guidelines on strategic disinvestment would make it necessary to include a clause which would safeguard against asset stripping by the strategic partner post disinvestment.

After leaving La Guardia airport in NY, the Boeing 737 plane engine exploded mid-flight.
Following a safe landing in Delhi, the three injured passengers were taken to hospital, the newspaper reported.
