We'll have to see what this week's episode of SmackDown Live holds. Bryan, who was injured and forced to retire, made his way out Tuesday night to thunderous applause. He was cleared by each doctor as well as WWE's Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Maroon. Bryan thanks everyone he is grateful for, most notably his wife Brie Bella, before saying that he doesn't know exactly when he will return to the ring.
Longtime rivals Mustafa Ali and Drew Gulak battle in the semifinals of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament with the victor facing Cedric Alexander for the vacant WWE Cruiserweight Title at WrestleMania.
Shinsuke Nakamura def. Rusev via pinfall: Following the pin, Aiden English entered the ring so he and Rusev could put the beat down on Nakamura. With AJ now the WWE Champion on Bryan's SmackDown Live there is a chance we will get to see it sooner rather than later. A loss here could significantly hurt Flair's momentum heading into her clash with the Empress of Tomorrow. Then Carmella rushed to the ring to try and cash in her Money in the Bank contract which guarantees her a championship match at any time, even in the middle of another bout.
Jimmy Uso (w/Jey Uso) vs. There's been ongoing tension between the two power figures as they've been at odds with one another on the Tuesday night show.
Charlotte says Natalya can take her on later tonight.
While Rowan distracts the referee, both Usos superkick Harper, but it isn't enough.
This leaves the rest of the roster in a state of limbo between now and the big one, with the champion earmarked to face a competitor who continues to do her weekly work on Raw.
Becky Lynch & Naomi def. Sarah Logan & Liv Morgan via submission: Lynch got the win for her team with the Dis-Arm-Her on Logan.
After last week's actions - a brutal attack on SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon - Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were fired from WWE by Bryan. In what has to be one of the greatest shoot promos in a long time, Bryan was as real as real gets while addressing the WWE universe. Owens and Zayn would later gain control of the situation as the numbers gain was too much for Bryan to handle. After more than a year of being nearly undeniably the most popular wrestler on the roster, Bryan took home the biggest title in sports entertainment.
