Marvel's Iron Man and Doctor Strange are heading to Singapore to meet fans here on 16 April for a red carpet publicity event at Marina Bay Sands for the latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Infinity War.
It hints at certain things and is heavy on the intrigue, but is more about getting people excited and setting the mood. The runtime also includes the post-credits.
Are you ready for Thanos' arrival?
Actress Karen Gillan, who plays blue-skinned, cyborg assassin Nebula - sister of Zoe Saldana's character Gamora in both Guardians of the Galaxy movies - and Infinity War co-director Joe Russo will also be in attendance. What is surprising is that the highly anticipated movie has left Black Panther far behind in the process. It's the culmination of the 18 previous films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; there are somewhere between 70 and 23,048 characters; and the plot description includes the phrase "bend reality to his will". After all, it's hard to see how Thor could withstand Thanos (Josh Brolin) seeming twisting his neck like that (then again, we're not totally clear on Asgardian physiology).
It all makes sense, as Avengers: Infinity War is shaping up to be a massive film, bringing together the previous MCU movies together in a way that fans have been waiting 10 years for. What about Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanov or Bruce Banner?
Personally, I think it is all of these reasons. Unfortunately for him, Infinity War will not exclusively revolve around Thor's first meeting with the Guardians of the Galaxy - but it does boast a scene where Iron Man has a run-in with the Guardians, which appears to be nearly as satisfying.
