He was joined by Harrison Ford, the late Carrie Fishers daughter Billie Lourd, Kelly-Marie Tran, and Star Wars' creator George Lucas on Hollywood Boulevard as he accepted the star and the group were also joined by R2-D2, who probably had a lot to say about the matter.
As he accepted his star, Hamill told the crowd he was struggling to convey the depth of his gratitude.
Mark Hamill has a new star and it's not in a galaxy far, far away.
On Wednesday night, Hamill appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live appearing to destroy the talk show host's star in order to make room for his own.
"These will be brief remarks because words truly fail me", he said.
"I'm very proud of Mark for getting this star", Lucas finished, adding that Hamill's got a bunch more projects in him. "He's extremely enthusiastic about everything he does and that is exactly what I was looking for when I was looking for Luke Skywalker. I haven't been this speechless since The Force Awakens". In fact, I remember when George Lucas first asked me to come back, I said, 'OK, but I have two provisions. "He changed my life forever in a way that still reverberates today". "They are with you in career highs and career lows", he said. "When part of me doubts I deserve such an honor, I remind myself that someone got a "Star" for just one crappy reality show".
"Star Wars is a big galaxy, and you can sort of find nearly anything you want to in Star Wars.", said J.J. Abrams, who is returning to helm Episode IX after directing The Force Awakens.
"From Jedi to Joker, it's been a fantastic ride".
Hamill, who also starred on the stage in "Amadeus" and voiced the Joker in the animated Batman TV series, returned the favour to Lucas. "And may the Force be with all of you".
