Samsung is selling the Galaxy S9 unlocked - meaning it's not tied to a particular carrier - for $720 from its website, and the unlocked Galaxy S9+ is going for $840. Just yesterday, DisplayMate proclaimed the Galaxy S9 to have the best smartphone display ever (at least in the OLED category). It uses a f/1.5 aperture in low light situations and switches to a f/2.4 aperture when there's more light.
