It's been a long while since Apple first gave us a taste of what we could expect from the upcoming iMac Pro release. The machine includes a 27.5-inch display with a 5K resolution, which is driven by AMD Radeon Vega graphics cards (up to 16GB of VRAM is supported on iMac Pros). "I've seldom seen a jump this dramatic before on any new generation of Macs - 20%-30% speed increases are the norm ..."
Apple's new iMac Pro is one monster of a computer. Would you rather be waiting for images and video to render or export, or do you want to go back out and shoot as quickly as possible?
YouTube personality Marques Brownlee was given the iMac Pro for a week ahead of the launch and recently posted a video about his thoughts on the system.
For detailed numbers and test results, head over to the source page. MKBHD also featured the HiRise Pro in his first look at the iMac Pro. The report believes that the iMac Pro will get a release next week - so, right before the Xmas break. There is no information as to when the iMac Pro will be available in India. Finally, there is also a 10Gb Ethernet port for fast networking. The device sports up to 128GB of RAM and up to 4TB SSD for the storage, with the base model coming with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Although the company stops short of specifying how much of that space is covered, previous iMacs offered 100% coverage, so it's likely that the Pro model will follow suit.
But before anyone gets too excited about the new color options, there's one catch: Like its other new space gray accessories, Apple doesn't sell the new black Lightning cable separately, at least not yet.
