The hillside fire ignited Wednesday morning and has covered about 475 acres. "Both Emergency Declarations direct relevant City departments to take all necessary steps to protect life and property in the area affected by the fires", Garcetti's office said in a statement. Some horses were returned to their concerned owners and three horses are receiving veterinary treatment at Pierce College, according to Don Barre with Animal Control.
