On Saturday, a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon was flying in worldwide airspace over the Black Sea when it was intercepted by a Russian SU-30, Eucom spokeswoman Meghan Henderson said.
The maneuver turned into a violent turbulence at its wake, impelling the P-8A to forcefully deal with a roll of 15 degree, says Baldanza.
"After being identified by a Russian fighter, the USA reconnaissance plane changed its route and set course away from Russia's airspace", TASS reported, citing the Russian military.
Russia's military responded Tuesday by saying its jet had been dispatched because the USA plane was approaching its borders "at high speed", according to the state-run TASS news agency.

A US Navy P-8A Poseidon anti-submarine warfare aircraft was intercepted by a Russian Air Force Su-30 Flanker fighter jet on November 25.
The Russian fighter jet buzzed the US Navy reconnaissance plane at around 1pm local time (10:00 GMT) as it was flying over the neutral waters of the Black Sea, the ministry said. "Unsafe actions have the potential to cause serious harm and injury to all air crews involved".
The U.S. plane "was operating in worldwide airspace and did nothing to provoke this Russian behavior", a Pentagon spokeswoman was quoted by CNN as saying.
