Chitrakoot: Three people died and nine others were injured after a passenger train derailed early on Friday morning near Uttar Pradesh's Banda.
According to the UP ADG, the cause of the derailment seemed to be a fractured railway track, although an investigation has been ordered which would identify the exact cause.

In November a year ago, the Indore-Patna Express had derailed in Pokhrayan near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, killing over 150 people.
After the incident took place, the train movements were disrupted on the Patna Allahabad route.
