And aside from having the new cards, everyone will get the Kobolds & Catacombs roguelike dungeon for free. Players will be able to venture into the dark, winding dungeons deep beneath Azeroth in search of ancient, legendary treasures. Rin, the First Disciple is potentially the most powerful card in Hearthstone, if not any CCG, because she gives players a set of Seal cards that summon demons.
This new single-player campaign is certainly the most intriguing yet. This expansion's new keyword was also shown off. Cards with the Recruit ability will pull a minion from your deck and put it right into the battlefield.
Hearthstone is harkening back to some of fantasy's most classic elements with its latest expansion, even taking its own crack at dungeon-delving with a new single player mode. Players must defeat eight random bosses out of almost fifty possible encounters, while collecting loot along the way to reinforce their decks for the fight ahead.
There are also a number of unsafe passive cards being slotted into the mix, which you can see in the gallery at the bottom of the article along with all of the other newly-announced cards from BlizzCon 2017 so far...
Players must defeat each boss to progress in the mode.
Kobalds & Catacombs will come to Hearthstone this December, with a special 50-pack bundle available for the one-time price of $49.99 on Battle.net and in Blizzard's game shop for those looking to pre-purchase.
Check out the official Hearthstone website for more information on the Kobolds & Catacombs expansion. As players take down bosses, you will collect loot cards to add to your deck and level your character. You get permanent rewards, but each time you fail to beat an encounter, you have to start the dungeon from scratch and lose all the cards you gain during the dungeon.
If you manage to beat Dungeon Run with all nine classes, you'll receive a new cardback. Previously, only select classes could equip weapons, but there's now going to be at least one new weapon for each class in this expansion, each with a unique effect for that class.
