Early Pixel 2 users have voiced frustration with mishaps, including a potentially serious problem with the screen. However, the iPhone's smaller, lower-resolution screen surely saves some energy consumption, so whatever difference there might be isn't hugely significant.
As for storage, these phones follow the same path's: Apple's traditional one.
Google said it was aware of the burn-in issue with its Pixel XL 2 Android smartphones. Google, for its part, said that it is looking into the issue. There are too many display problems and issues to take a gamble on this phone until Google figures out what they are doing with the phone.
Then, last week, device fix website iFixit published a teardown of the Pixel 2 XL that showed what the Pixel Visual Core chip actually looks like. If a static image is displayed over time in the same position, you can still see a faded version of the image permanently "burned" in to the screen.
"The Pixel 2 XL screen has been designed with an advanced P-OLED technology, including QHD+ resolution, wide colour gamut, and high contrast ratio for natural and attractive colors and renderings".
This mean they are only removed when full screen content, like games, apps and videos, are viewed. Having screen burn-in this severe after just seven days of use is worrisome - typically it affects OLED displays after months or even years of constant use. In a followup comment, dpezet stated that they'll be receiving a replacement unit shortly, and they were given a $10 Google Play credit for their trouble. Just like Samsung or Apple, Google too, has attractive cases made from genuine leather.
The last time Google made new alarm, notification, and ringtone sounds for Android was for the original Pixel and Pixel XL.
Funnily, only Google Pixel XL 2s seem to be affected by this horrific disease.
