Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock's girlfriend, 62-year-old Marilou Danley, arrived from the Philippines in Los Angeles on Wednesday where Federal Bureau of Investigation agents will question her about the massacre.
"He would glare down at her and say - with a mean attitude - "You don't need my casino card for this".
"He manipulated her to be completely as far away from this and safe when he did this", Eric said.
He also said that investigators had no evidence to indicate Paddock's attack was linked to global terrorism. A neighbor, Susan Page, told the newspaper that Paddock and Danley were "closet people" and that she "never saw them".
Paddock wired $100,000 to the Philippines, a law enforcement source said, but officials haven't determined when the money transfer took place or who was the recipient.
Marilou Danley flew out of Manila's worldwide airport on Tuesday night for Los Angeles, immigration bureau spokeswoman Maria Antoinette Mangrobang told AFP.
"I knew Stephen Paddock as a kind, caring, quiet man".
"I know that she don't know anything [about the attacks] as well like us", Danley's other sister states. Paddock - who reportedly set up cameras in his room and the hotel hallway - shot and killed himself, police learned after sending in a controlled device.
Media reports said Danley was born in the Philippines, although the Philippine foreign department and Suarez said they could not confirm that. She expressed sympathy for the victims and said she had no clue that he was planning the attack.
Danley lived with Paddock in Mesquite, Nevada, and was out of the country during the shooting.
"In that sense, I thank him for sparing my sister's life", she adds, saying that Danley was "really in love with Steve".
But Lombardo said they do know the gunman "meticulously" planned the shooting and that it's logical to assume "he had to have some help at some point".
It has been learnt that Danley is not in custody as she is classified as a "person of interest" and nothing more.
The girlfriend of Las Vegas shooter has arrived in the United States.
Police have also given new detail about the timeline of the Paddock's shooting massacre. "She was away so that she will be not there to interfere with what he's planning", one of Danley's sisters told 7 News, a CNN affiliate in Australia.
Lombardo said the investigation is proceeding cautiously in case criminal charges are warranted against someone else.
