Marilou Danley, 62, was initially said to be a "person of interest" but has since been cleared of any involvement in the shocking shooting that left 59 dead and more than 500 injured.
Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said United States authorities contacted Australian officials to help locate her.
An Australian newspaper, Brisbane's Courier-Mail, reported Monday that Danley was an "Australian citizen originally from the Philippines".
An associate of Danley's said they could not believe she had anything to do with the shooting.
Australian media said she was on holiday in the Philippines with three girlfriends. The account is in his live-in girlfriend Marilou Danley's home country.
A Filipina considered as a "person of interest" in the Las Vegas strip shooting on Monday that killed at least 60 people, has been cleared by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD).
Authorities said they were able to reach her by phone to gather information on the 64-year-old Paddock.

"We mourn with the families of those who perished and hope for the speedy recovery of the more than 400 people who were reported injured", Cayetano said in a statement.
Danley's name was also linked to the shooting on Everipedia, an online encyclopedia that describes itself as allowing "anyone to create a page about any person, organization, object, or idea".
Meanwhile, Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano condoled with the families of the victims.
The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) arm in charge of Filipino migration yesterday described the shooting incident in Las Vegas as "purely evil". It's unclear what relationship Geary Danley has with Marilou Danley, and he did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
